It has been a long time since a major variety has been discovered from the 1970's. What came in the office
in March definitely fits into that category. Sitting in a collectors holding of Massachusetts stamps was a few completely imperforate sheets of the 1979 stamp! Prior to this find, I believe that only one other Massachusetts sheet is known completely imperforate. Massachusetts stamps have not been available from the State or Peabody Museum now for several years. Remaining stocks were destroyed long ago. It really is amazing how a major error can be discovered 24 years after it was issued.
Similar imperforate sheets (which are usually issued in the 1990's) usually sell for $2500.00 or more.
